S&D group to welcome new Spanish MEP

Spanish deputy Magdalena Álvarez has left the parliament's Socialists and Democrats (S&D) group following her appointment as a vice-president of the European Investment Bank.

Álvarez took up her new post on 16 July and will be replaced by the current secretary-general of the youth wing of the Spanish socialist party, Sergio Gutiérrez.
