The Parliament Magazine was proud to present its first Brussels Briefing event on Tuesday 3 May.
The conference, organised with our Brussels-based colleagues from The Parliament Magazine and in association with the European commission and European parliament offices in London, was a unique opportunity to gain detailed insight from EU and UK policymakers on this year's Brussels agenda.
Around 80 MPs, MEPs, representatives from the European Commission and European NGOs as well as UK senior policy makers and stakeholders met for a day of debate and discussion on topics such as EU policy affecting the City, the NHS, SMEs, fisheries and the countryside. Many high-level speakers shared their thoughts including Jonathan Evans MP, Michael Shackleton (European Parliament Office in the UK), Jonathan Scheele (European Commission Office in the UK and Martyn Bond (professor of European politics and policy).
