International finance institutions hold a roundtable in Brussels on the Ukraine-Russia gas dispute.
The commission holds a meeting of the electricity cross-border committee in Brussels, where the findings of the report by European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity will be presented.

• The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) continues (until July 1st) the 10th regional seminar of ACP-EU economic and social interest groups, bringing together delegates representing employers, employees, farmers and consumer organisations from the 15 countries of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
• The Committee of the Regions holds a structured dialogue with fisheries commissioner Joe Borg.
• EU Finance Day for SMEs is held in London.
• Bruegel holds a conference, Lost property: the European patent system and why it doesn’t work.
• The Centre for European Policy Studies holds two conferences:
- Looking into 'Chinese Boxes': Hedge funds and the EU's draft directive.
- The new economic and free trade agreement between the EU and Canada.
• The European Policy Centre holds a sixty-minute briefing on enforcing consumer protection across Europe with commissioner Kuneva.
• The Confederation of European Paper Industries holds a conference, Manifesto for competitiveness and employment.
• The two-day annual European nuclear power conference opens in Paris, discussing the challenges facing the nuclear renaissance, such as costs, public acceptance and skills shortages.
• The global forum on agriculture, organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, examines the prospects for the sector and policies to enhance food security during two days of discussion in Paris.
• The future of the internet is discussed at a two-day conference in Berlin. The Theseus Symposium looks at future technologies and applications for the internet.
• The United Nations Commission on international trade law assembles in Vienna (until July 17). The agenda includes issues relating to public procurement, insolvency and arbitration.
• The week-long 17th European biomass conference and exhibition is held in Hamburg.
