Ireland faces up to nitrate pollution
Dublin is ignoring European laws on water pollution, said the EU courts on Thursday.
The European Court of Justice has ruled that Ireland is not properly monitoring nitrate pollution caused by agricultural fertilizers and has also failed to tell the commission which waters might be affected by this pollution.
Correction: An earlier version of this story reported that the finding was an unbinding Advocate General opinion, an earlier stage in the legal process.
