Marie Stopes International

Marie Stopes International is a non-governmental organisationthat provides sexual and reproductive health information, suppliesand services to over three million people worldwide every year.

We work in 38 countries across the world. Worldwide, our aim isthe same:

to make sexual and reproductive health information and serviceseasily accessible, and
to ensure that all individuals can exercise their human rightto plan their families and to protect themselves against sexuallytransmitted infections (STIs), including HIV/AIDS.

We aim to help policy makers in the EU institutions by providingbriefings, indicators on reproductive health and responding tobreaking news on sexual and reproductive health issues.

We are committed to reducing maternal and infant mortality, topromoting safer sex campaigns to fight the global HIV/AIDS pandemicand to alleviating poverty. We provide a broad range of sexual andreproductive health information and services. These include familyplanning, mother and child health, gynaecology, obstetrics, safeabortion (where legal), sex education, and STI/HIV/AIDS preventionand information campaigns to raise awareness.

Our Global Partnership focuses on communities whose needs havebeen neglected, such as refugees, adolescents and the urban poor,including slum dwellers.
