In 2001, 189 States made commitments on HIV which encompassed prevention strategies, sexuality education for youth, empowerment for women ?despite the ambitious commitments, the disbursements have not met the commitments made.
How are Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and HIV/AIDS reflected in the 2007-2013 Financial Perspectives? The regulations on SRHR and HIV/AIDS come to an end on 31 December2006 and it is therefore important to ensure that both issues arereflected in the new EU financial Instruments and programmes.
