French interior minister Nicolas Sarkozy has called for Poland to join the G5 group of Europe's largest countries which includes France, Germany, the UK, Italy and Spain so far, arguing that the Franco-German alliance is no longer adequate for driving forward the European project, Gazeta Wyborcza reports.
