  • Regulation to ensure the recovery of maintenance obligations or alimony across the EU
  • Framework decision to ensure common standards for pre-trial detention – likely to derogate national anti-terror laws
  • Framework decision setting common standards for data protection under EU criminal information exchanges
  • Framework decision setting an ‘adequate level of data protection’ as a standard for international agreements allowing the transfer of air passenger data outside the EU
  • Directive to make breaches of EU intellectual property rights a criminal offence
  • Framework decision to bring closer differing penal sanctions against counterfeiters across Europe
