About TheParliament.com
TheParliament.com is a news, policy and information service working at the heart of the EU. The service is the online presence of The Parliament Magazine, published since 1997. The online service launch in 2003 began as EUpolitix with the change over to TheParliament.com taking place in 2006.
TheParliament.com, its news and bulletins briefing service, opens a window into the workings of the European parliament – and other EU institutions. TheParliament.com is a forum for key policy debates as they unfold bringing together MEPs, European commission, member states and stakeholders at the heart of EU decision-making.
TheParliament.com bulletins are read by the vast majority of MEPs. As a key forum for European politics and policy, TheParliament.com is a public place – FREE to all users – where MEPs and stakeholders interact to shape Europe. MEPs regularly comment and submit detailed policy proposals to TheParliament.com. The forum is the online presence of NGO's, special interest groups, regional and educational institutions and corporations who use the portal as a way to lobby and lead debate.
Because TheParliament.com is the forum for MEPs, European commissioners and representatives of national governments, they seek to get their arguments across in the form of articles or interviews. TheParliament.com maintains editorial independence from the Forum, the European institutions and receives no EU funding.
TheParliament.com is published in the UK by Dods and is part of Huveaux Plc. Other online media services include www.projectsforum.eu, www.eurosource.eu.com, www.epolitix.com, www.dodonline.co.uk
