UK may push for changes if EU biofuels policy proves harmful
British prime minister Gordon Brown has said he will seek to change EU biofuels targets if their introduction forces up food prices, reports the Guardian.Brown will meet today with environmental and farmers’ groups to discuss the effects of biofuels, two months after he ordered a review of the environmental and economic effects of the alternative fuels.
