EU foreign policy chief pledges continued support for Afghanistan
The EU’s foreign policy chief has told Kabul that the EU will maintain its support in Afghanistan, says El País.In a joint press conference with Afghani president Hamid Karzai, Javier Solana said the EU would continue to work with the government. Karzai, for his part, reiterated that Europe is the second largest donor to his country.
Solana was on a short visit to the country on Monday, and will head to Pakistan on Tuesday.
