Georgia wants EU police force sent to Abkhazia
Georgia has asked the EU to send police forces to the separatistregion of Abkhazia, announced on Wednesday by the Georgian deputyprime minister Georgy Baramidze, reports the IHT.
Fears of a conflict are mounting after Russia increased the size ofits peacekeeping force in the Georgian region.
