Cyprus peace talks to start September
Leaders of the two Cypriot communities are to start direct talks on reunification in September, according to Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat, says El País.
Talat’s comments on TV station CNN Turk, says the paper, came after Cypriot president Demetris Christofias said at the beginning of the month that before 25 July a decision had to be made on when to start the talks.
