EU human rights court grants extradition of UK hacker to US

The European court of human rights has cleared the way for the extradition of a UK citizen who allegedly hacked into secret military computers in the US, reports the IHT.

Prosecutors in the US want to try Gary McKinnon for allegedly hacking into 97 computers belonging to NASA, the US Department of Defense and several branches of the military. His lawyers however say that the alleged offences that took place in the UK and that he should therefore be tried in a UK court.
