EU trade chief calls for improved China relations
The paper says the EU trade commissioner said it would not serve the people of either Europe or China to be confrontational in dealing with issues such as Tibet.
He was speaking to the China-Britain Business Council in London amid a growing backlash within China and overseas communities against Western sympathy for Tibet.
