Germans cautious over high-tech French alliance
German caution over a new partnership with France to develop a supercomputer is just one of the challenges that faces Europe in developing high-technology competitors to compete with the US and Asia, reports the IHT.
Speaking after him at the recent Cebit conference, German chancellor Angela Merkel did not mention the offer to coordinate French supercomputer research with its German counterpart in Jülich, near Cologne.
