New look for Euronews to compete with rival services
The Guardian says that TV channel EuroNews is undertaking the biggest overhaul of its on-air branding since its launch 15 years ago to create a brand to better compete with rival services CNN, BBC World and al-Jazeera.
The new channel branding, which is being rolled out from today, has been two years in the making. It includes scrapping its EU blue colour scheme in favour of a "pure" news positioning, introducing a "pure" strapline and a white circle motif.
